“Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” The First Kerala centers combined class on English was held on Friday, June 25, 2021. The session started at 10 o'clock with a prayer song by Mr. Rijo Reji of Don Bosco Tech Punalur. This program was coordinated by Mrs. Aneeta Demis (Communicative English Trainer of Don Bosco Tech Sreekandapuram). The welcome address was then given by Mr. Digit Jose, (State Finance Coordinator) followed by the thought for the day which was narrated by Sanju Santhosh (Trainee Don Bosco Tech Punalur). The participants of the session include 3 of the State Team members, 15 trainers, and 110. Mr. Tinu Ruben (CommunicativeEnglish Trainer of Don Bosco Tech Kollam) conducted the first session. His topic is about “Inviting someone to an occasion and Conversation”. The session was made interested by adding some related activities. The next topic Passage reading was taken over by Mrs. Josna English (Trainer of Don Bosco Tech Arthunkal). A Reading activity was given to the trainees while others were made to explain the meaning of each passage which was read out. The session was continued by Mrs. Gracy Francis (Communicative English Trainer of Don Bosco Tech Punalur). Her topic includes Job Application and Common Words of English. The students were asked to recite new words found by 2 students from each center. This session was led by Mrs. Gracy Francis and Mrs. Aneeta.

A Quiz Competition was also conducted in which all students participated. Ann Mary from Don Bosco Tech Kollam is the winner of the competition. The Quiz was followed by a speech from Mr. Juby M.T the State Coordinator who congratulates the winner and the other participants, he also enquires feedback from the students about the session. The session is one way to make the trainees connect and understand each other. Each trainee is a valued member of the class and had compassion for their peers. They seemed comfortable in new situations and enjoyed conversation with friends during the session. The session went very well as topics were well-prepared by each trainer. Students had a good opinion of the classes. Each trainee worked independently and are greatly motivated. The session was concluded by Mrs. Anila Samson State MIS Coordinator with a vote of thanks. The program ended at 2 pm with the national anthem which was conducted by Mr. Rijo Reji of DB Tech Punalur.
